The next chapter

Field Notes

A monthly practice for noticing better. Short audio and video notes about businesses encountered while traveling, owners worth asking questions of, and the operating details that make a company feel alive.

Editorial Standard

Interesting first. Useful second. Performative never.

The show does not need to compete with big personality business media. The advantage here is attention: asking sincere questions, noticing ordinary businesses deeply, and turning lived observations into practical insight for owners and operators.

Format

One observation, one operating lesson.

Each field note should be compact enough to publish without dread and specific enough to be worth saving. Audio and video can come from the same recording. A short written note makes the idea searchable.

Publishing Rhythm

Monthly is the promise.

Cadence
Publish once a month, with permission to publish more when the idea is genuinely alive.
Constraint
No episode unless there is a real observation, conversation, or business question worth keeping.
Shape
Video, audio, and a written field note from the same idea so every episode is watchable, listenable, and searchable.
